About Rich Miglio
Versatile Actor
Rich Miglio Born and raised in Manhasset and Southampton Long Island, Rich started his acting career in NYC with acting classes where he realized he can be very serious, sensitive but also very funny! Rich was upgraded by Penny Marshall and Robin Williams in a film called Awakenings where he got to work a bit with Robin Williams.. He landed a lead on Theatre Row in a show called Annual Calamity about dysfunctions of families during the holidays. He bought a Jeep and drove to Los Angeles where he booked numerous national television commercials (Southwest Airlines, Starbursts and more!) as well as dramatic and comedic roles in various short films. He made appearances on The Jenny McCarthy Show (MTV) (one in a dinosaur suit :) and hung out with Melissa McCarthy a lot (who wasn’t famous then!). She’s really cool, by the way. Rich also had guest parts on the Weird Al Yankovich Show (CBS) and Sweet Valley High(UPN) as well as Blossom(NBC). Somehow he eventually found himself on the set of the first Austin Powers where he auditioned for and met Mike Myers. Rich worked all of Austin’s Power’s 2nd unit work (yes Rich wore all the actual original Austin Powers costumes Mike wore). The first Austin Powers was Will Ferrell's first film appearance and Rich was there when Will Ferrell first walked on his first film set to work. Then a really fun thing happened...Mike Myers called Will Ferrell over and introduced Will and Rich and said, "Rich, this is Will, you'll be working with him today". Apparently Rich shined on the set of Austin Powers and was upgraded and given a small legitimate role which can be seen at the end of the first Austin Powers closing credits, improvising with Elizabeth Hurley and Mike Myers. Thinking he was old at thirty, he took a sabbatical from acting for eighteen years came back to NYC to start a family and become one of the top real estate leasing brokers in Manhattan. Rich was also hired by many real estate firms throughout Manhattan to grow their brokerages. So Rich can also play a great business person!
In December of 2018, he decided to return to film and television. In 11 months Rich has completed lead roles in 7 short films, as well as having supporting roles in two music videos. Rich also has been featured in Son of Monarchs a major motion picture.
